Emergency Food Pantry

Health/Wellness: improve the health of all through an established health program that focuses on wholeness for body, mind and spirit; help reduce health disparities by encouraging participation in early detection, education classes, health fairs, disease prevention programs and health screening programs; increase quality of life and years of healthy living by assisting understanding of health and wellness issues.

Care Group:  Visit those who are hospitalized at Trinity hospital; visit those who in nursing homes; visit those who are homebound; visit those facing serious or terminal illness, Visit those who are grieving, facing life transition or experiencing faith crisis

Rainbow for God's Children: Seeks to minister to the emotional and spiritual needs of children from St Ailbe Parish and neighboring communities who have experienced a loss through death, divorce, separation or other painful transitions in their families; includes losses of pets, separations caused by divorce or relocations, losses of friends and relationships, as well as losses due to illness or death

Adult Day Services: Provide care for adults who need assistance to remain independent. Clients enjoy: health monitoring, daily exercises, current event discussions, reminiscing, field trips, special programs  and parties, nutritious breakfast, lunch and pm snack, increases self esteem, opportunities for friendships, improved moods and behavior, devotions, games for fun and toning, art and craft projects.

HOPE Project: Helps provide emotional, spiritual, as well as physical necessities to our neighbors in the Washington Park community; in a spirit of community and self-help, food and other necessities are earned through a commitment to self-development; every Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. a meal is served, followed by the "HOPE Circle" 

Community Outreach: At Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter, thousands of people are the recipients of gifts, food boxes, and hot dinners.

Prison Outreach: Reaches out to the families of those incarcerated, in a neighborhood where there are so many touched by crime

"Building Bridges" training program: Prepares men and women to take an apprenticeship exam in the construction trades.

Tax Assistance Program: Helps low-income families prepare their taxes and benefit from the Earned Income Tax Credit.

Recovery Groups: Several Narcotics and Alcoholics Anonymous meetings each week

Jim Fisher Development Center: Offers an After-School Program during the school year, as well as a Summer School program; provides appreciation of life to young people through reading, arts and culture, classes in computers, sewing, arts & crafts, music, painting, creative writing, poetry, acting, African drumming, "Hooked on Books" and more.
